A new business out of BrockvilleOntario, is set to make a splash at the upcoming Antique Classic Boat Show (ACBS) heading to Gravenhurst on July 7th.

drop. Nautical Handbags is a unique, handmade (and 100 percent made-in-Canada) line of luxury products which are, says owner Sandra Nandoo, inspired by life in the Thousand Islands and along the St Lawrence River. Made from quality marine grade materials including boating vinyl and canvas, the company’s distinctive style and colours display a very strong nautical flavour.

“Our bags embrace the qualities of the boating industry with their timeless style,” says Nandoo, adding: “And they’re durable, easy to clean, and waterproof.”

The company presently carries two elegant handbag styles, including the attractive wristlet. Features of this bag are the inclusion of a wallet, along with card pockets and compartments in which to stash such items as cash, keys, credit cards, and phones.

“The wristlet offers a grab-and-go convenience while carrying all of your necessities,” says Nandoo.

Those needing something larger to carry their belongings in can opt for a drop. tote bag. These are suitable, says Nandoo, for boat outings, weekend getaways, and everyday use. Notable features of these well-made tote bags include:

  • Four large interior pockets for water bottles, maps, or wet bathing suits
  • A special “drop” bottom with a padded surface area to keep the tote upright
  • Custom colour options to match your boat
